We’re in day 8 of 90o+ heat, with the humidity trailing that by a nose. A break is on the horizon, doubtless in the form of torrential downpours and thunderstorms.
I can’t wait.

Could one see a headline like this:
4 teens stabbed in northeast Washington after peace festival
At least they weren’t shot; guns are banned in the District. Looks like the ban is working.

I wrote about our new set of wheels a few posts back. It’s my little bride’s car1; I’d have chosen something different for me, but she seems tickled, and that’s all right. I have no complaints about price, terms, or payments. And it is a fine looking rig.

I was able to get to the tMobile sign up page, before switching to my card. The goal was to see whether I could remember all the Linux commands [...]
I nearly posted a photo of blue sky earlier. Blue sky is something that’s been mighty scarce since we arrived in El Lay. We’ve had heavy overcast, torrential rain, and if my MIdwestern ears are still attuned, a brief bit of hail since we got here.
Our daughter has a breezeway, to which the smokers [...]
As much as I love my grandchildren, and as blessed as I am that they’re part of the family, we leave slam dunk Los Angeles tomorrow, for the return trip back home. We’re glad of that; our grandparent systems aren’t as resilient to commotion, noise, and Houdini-baffling schedules as they used to be. If there [...]
